I am an Italian citizen moving to Amsterdam in late-January 2010. I've played college baseball in the U.S. (NCAA - Div. 2, Carson Newman College) & in Seria A1 in Italy for Rimini & Caserta. I'd be interested in trying out for any team(s) in Amsterdam that needs an extra pitcher (82-85 mph), or any other position (primary positions include 2B, SS, & OF). My preference would be to play for a team in the Hoofdklasse; but I would also consider playing for a team in the Overgangsklasse.
My strengths include:
Already experienced with wooden bat
Hit for good average
Speedy (perfect 1 or 2 hitter in line-up)
Great bunter/situational hitter
Good cut fastball with pinpoint control
Intelligent player
My weaknesses include:
Won't hit for much power
Average fastball
I'll be more than happy to forward references, most recent statistics, etc. to any coach interested in giving me a try-out.
