Richard Riesenberger
I am a recent college grad from the US. I have played four years of baseball and would like to pursue playing. Last summer I traveled to Prague, Czech Republic with a US team in international competition. You may have heard of the organization American International Sports Tour (AIST). Chad Wilkinson is the president of theorganization.
My first two years of college I attended Alfred State College. There I was successful ending up 8-7 withan ERA of 2.12 (fourth best in college history), with 65 strikeouts. I then played two summers in a very competitive league in New York. It was the New York Colligate Baseball League (nycbl). I played on the Allegany County Nitro’s.
Jeremy Accardo played on this same team a couple years ago and now he plays pro ball with the Toronto Blue Jays. Another great MLBplayer to play in the league was Tim Hudson.
I finished my last two years playing at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. There I was also successful going 10-6 with an ERA of 3.50. As for my trip to Prague I made two appearances. I started against the Czech national team and pitched all nine innings only to lose 3-2. I then came back in a relief appearance against the team from Sweden and pitched five shutout innings to end the game with a victory.
I am a left handed pitcher and I have topped out at 89, but I continue to get stronger every year since I started college and have gained velocity every year.
