Craig Cant
I've just completed my final year of college baseball and would be honored to continue my career in the Netherlands. I have played for King College under the leadership of Coach Mark Conkin (ex-national cross checker for Oakland A's) and New Mexico Junior College under Ray Birmingham where we won the JuCo World Series championship. I am an Australian citizen and have also spent time playing in Japan and on various teams in Australia including U23 New South Wales representative at the Australian National Tournament.
I am a catcher, 5'10" and 185 pounds. I finished this last season batting .309 and have been told by scouts that I have a big league arm behind the plate. I pride myself on my defensive skills, my ability to throw runners out and get the best out of the pitchers. I received numerous letters of interest from major league scouts this year and was invited to a closed pre-draft tryout with the Chicago Cubs and an invitational only pre-draft workout for top 40 prospects. I come recommended by both coach Conkin and Royals scout Yogi Richardson.
