Bobby Ryan
Hello, my name is Bobby Ryan and I am interested in playing baseball in Holland for the 2008 season.
I am a 6"3 225lb catcher/pitcher and am also a switch hitter. I played 4 years of Division 1 baseball at the University of Maryland where I had a career average of 340 and was listed as one of the top players to watch in the best colligiate conference my senior year.
I was drafted in 28 round by the cleveland indians my junior year but did not sign and signed as a free agent after my senior year with the Seattle Mariners. I played 2 months in short season ball but sat behind a first rounder and decided to move on after that season.
In the summer of 2006 I played in Germany for the Nuenkirchen Nightmares and led the team in hitting and most other offensive categories.
I have always been considered one of the best defensive catchers anywhere I have ever played and have references and with email addresses and numbers if requested.
I am 25 years old and looking to keep my career going and loved the country when I visited there in 06, I was also impressed with how much people love baseball there and would be honored to be given the opprotunity to prove my abilities.
