Hello my name is David Vargo, I live in Bricktown New Jersey in the United States. I've talked to a few scouts about the past couple years of my collegiate career. I currently finished my senior season of college baseball. I played at Centenary College (NJ) under coach David Sawicki. In my four years of Collegiate baseball I had a lifetime batting average of .305, 120 hits, 72 RBI's, 13 doubles, 13 Stolen Bases, only 40 errors out 543 total chances, and 56 double plays. I played mostly shortstop with a few games at second base.
Ocean Community College:
My sophmore year I finished the season as an All-Region and All-Conference shortstop batting .378.
My two years at Ocean County College I helped lead my team to two region 19 playoffs.
Centenary College:
My junior season I was ranked in the top 10 in the nation, defensively and won a Gold Glove, batting .303.
Senior season I was nominated for the first ever Rawling Gold Glove award for top defenisve player in the region. But was a Gold Glove winner for the conference.
At Centenary College, my junior season I tied the record for most assist in a season with 92 and my senior season I broke the record with 122 assist. I hold defensive records at Centenary college, such as 122 assist in a season, 40 double plays turned in two seasons, and 19 errors out of 329 total chances.
My final two season at Centenary College I helped win a Conference Championship and the teams first ever win at Regionals.
I have recieved private tryouts for professionals teams in the fall of my senior season and have talked with professional scouts about being drafted. I just finished summer ball and got a few looks to try-out for indepedent teams and a private try-out with the Atlantic city Surf. I would really like the chance or an opportunity to try-out to play baseball over in Europe.
